Words & Phrases

  • The Prime Minister gave an ambiguous statement that could be interpreted in several ways.

  • The teacher gave unambiguous instructions for the assignment.

  • He made a thoughtless remark that upset everyone.

  • Incidents (noun) = events, usually minor or unusual, that happen, often causing concern or attention

    • There were several minor incidents at the school last week.

    • The police reported no serious incidents during the festival.

    • He described the incidents in detail for the investigation.

  • In Japan and Canada bears eat plants, berries, and small animals, but in Canada bears, especially grizzlies, rely more on fish and large mammals, while in Japan bears focus more on nuts, acorns, and forest plants.
