How did you feel after getting the flu shot?
I asked her how she felt after the surgery. She said she felt ok.
I was vaccinated against the flu. (= formal)
i received the four vaccine. (= formal)
I got a flu shot. (= casual)
The number of people with the flu is increasing.
Flu cases are on the rise.
I asked the gardener to tidy up the trees, while I tidied up the azaleas.
Tidy up (phrasal verb) = to clean or organize a place so it looks neat
I need to tidy up before the guests arrive.
He tidied up his desk after finishing the project.
We should tidy up the living room later.
My favourite tree is yew, which is イチイ in Japanese.
Appropriate Language
We say TAKE for medicine that goes into your body. Pills, tablets, capsules, syrups and anything you swallow are taken.
I take cold medicine twice a day
She takes a tablet before bed
He took some pain medicine this morning
We say USE for medicine that you do not swallow. Creams, sprays, eye drops, ointments and things you put on your skin are used.
I use this cream for my rash
She uses eye drops every night
He used a spray for his sore throat
