  • I went to see wisteria and azaleas.

    • Wisteria is a climbing plant.

    • Azaleas are a flowering bush

  • Couscous (noun) = A type of food from North Africa made of very small balls of crushed semolina (wheat). It is usually steamed and served with meat or vegetables.

    • I like to eat couscous with grilled chicken and salad.

    • Couscous is very fast to cook; you just add hot water and wait five minutes.

    • Many people in Morocco eat couscous for lunch on Fridays.

  • My son had to help carry a religious float at a festival, so his family didn’t go anywhere for Golden Week.

    • His shoulder might be aching after this.

  • Have you ever eaten (bear / boar)?

    • Do you eat offal?

    • Offal (noun) (ˈɒf.əl / off-uhl) = The inside parts of an animal (such as the heart, liver, or gizzards) that are used as food.

Grammar

  • “Wisteria” is the singular and plural form

  • “Azalea” is the singular and “azaleas” is the plural
