Clingy (adj); describes a person, animal, or thing that clings or sticks too closely—either physically or emotionally

Appropriate Language
Potter
Makes functional items like bowls, cups, plates, vases.
Typically works with a pottery wheel.
Focuses on traditional pottery and usable wares.
More common, everyday term.
Ceramicist
A broader term that includes anyone who works with clay and ceramics.
Can make both functional items and sculptural or artistic pieces.
May use various techniques, including hand-building, sculpting, or using molds.
Sounds more artistic or formal.
