Words & Phrases
What was the (occasion / reason) for lunch today?
Haruhino is a quiet city and there are no people. It’s just a residential area.
There is a waterwheel not too far from Wakabadai.
On the Hill coffee roasts their own beans.
At the izakaya, I ordered seven types of sashimi.
Feedback (noun) = A loud, high, or annoying sound made when a microphone is too close to a speaker
The singer moved too close to the speakers, and the audience heard a loud burst of feedback.
Please turn down the volume because the microphone is starting to give feedback.
Wilt (verb) = To become weak and bend toward the ground (usually used for plants).
If you don't water the roses every day in the summer, they will quickly wilt.
The lettuce in the fridge started to wilt because it had been there for two weeks.
I had to buy a new adapter for my trip.
The adapter only changes the prong shape.

“Turn up” (phrasal verb) can be split, this is important when we use “pronouns” because only a pronoun can go in the middle. “turn it up”, NOT “turn up it”
