In this lesson, students will develop vocabulary and conversation skills by talking about their smartphones.

Lesson Notes June 30, 2026 (Elementary)

Words & Phrases

  • Do you know anyone who grows grapes?

    • Growing grapes take a lot work and energy. (We use “grow” for plants, vegetables and fruits. Only use “grow up” when talking about children becoming older and mature)

  • My phone is always on silent mode.

    • When I go to restaurants and on the train I use silent mode. At home I don’t use it.

  • I always use the English keyboard, I think it’s easier to type.

  • I use touchtyping on my computer, but on my iPad I use two fingers. (NOT “blind touch typing)
