Pronunciation
Cupboard (noun) ˈkʌbərd / KUB-urd (Note: The "p" is completely silent, and the "oard" sounds like “urd")
Appropriate Language
In English, "How about...?" is usually used to make a suggestion or to pivot a topic back to the other person.
Example of a suggestion: "I'm hungry. How about pizza for dinner?”
Example of a pivot: "My weekend was great! How about yours? (How was your weekend?)"
If you are just starting a conversation and want to ask someone how their vacation went, there are much more natural phrases to use.
If they have already returned home:
"How was your trip?" (The absolute best, most common way to ask).
"How did your trip go?”
"Did you have a good time on your trip?”
If they are currently on the trip right now:
"How is your trip going?”
"Are you having a good time on your trip?"
