Words & Phrases
It’s so hot today, I hope we get some rain soon.
A summer shower would cool things down. (= a short period of rain in summer, especially afternoons)
I got some sunscreen from my skin doctor.
My dermatologist told me that if I go outside for more than 10 minutes, I need to wear sunscreen.
I got SPF 50. (= Sun Protection Factor)
I got my driving licence when I was 18.
I had my licence once but I never renewed it.
I think I would be a distracted driver.
I will go to my junior high school reunion this summer.
I will meet my friends from junior high.” (This is correct. Saying “I will meet a junior student” is different — it means someone who is currently in junior high school.)

Tongue Placement for TH
Both TH sounds (voiced and unvoiced) are made with the tip of the tongue lightly touching your top front teeth.
The tongue should stick out a little, just between the teeth.
Let the air go over the tongue.
Voiced TH (Your throat vibrates)
Examples: this, that, they, mother, weather
Unvoiced TH (No voice, just air sound)
Examples: think, thank, three, tooth, month
Simple Exercise
Stick out your tongue a little between your teeth.
Say “thhhhhhink”, “thhhhhhank”, “thhhhhhree”, “toothhhhhh”, “monthhhhhh”; hold the ‘TH’ sound for as long as you can.
Now say “thhhhhhis”, “thhhhhhat”, “thhhhhhey”, “mothhhhhher”, “weathhhhhher”; hold the ‘TH’ sound for as long as you can.
