In this lesson, students will develop vocabulary and conversation skills by talking about travel and focusing on Thailand.

Lesson Notes August 4, 2026 (Elementary)

Words & Phrases

  • I amjuggling everything the best I can.

    • I do not know how you juggle everything you are doing these days.

    • Using juggle to describe balancing multiple responsibilities, tasks, or life demands (work, family, chores)

  • That hotel is (nextto / by) my old high school.

Short Dialogues

A: Have you finished reading that novel?
B: Yeah, not yet. I am still reading it. (= No, not yet.)

  • Often you will hear “Yeah, not yet”, this is informal, but you cannot say “Yes, not yet”

A: Are you going out tonight?
B: Yeah, no way. I am staying home.

Travel

Section 2 (Travel Experiences)

  • I like to read travel books and puttabs at the important information.

  • His passport wasstolen. (Here we use passive because we do not know who stole it)
