Words & Phrases

  • Just standing at the station, just standing, I started sweating.

  • Looks like the outer edge of the typhoon might graze us. We might just get some wind and light rain.

  • If you live in a disaster prone area and it worries you, you’d better move somewhere else.

  • The area north of Mukogaoka station is starting to look attractive.

    • The new shop had a lot of people (standing) in line.

  • Starting in summer there are a lot of fireworks in the evening.

  • I went to the theatre near my station, it has a small stage with a small capacity.

    • The actors were very passionate about their roles and I really enjoyed the performance.

  • Going to see a movie in summer is a good way to escape the heat.

  • On TV you see images of people, especially children, suffering from malnourishment.
