Words & Phrases
I don’t use internet banking, so I have to go to the bank.
To my surprise, the beer hall was almost full.
Some of the people there seemed to be office workers. (NOT employees)
I took my broken lens to the repair shop. They said it might take about three weeks to fix it.
She had four costume changes during her performance. (= stage / concerts)
I brought a change of clothes for after work. (= everyday / personal)
Use "see" to talk about attending public shows, performances, and events.
I saw a concert the other day. The two singers performed really well.
Are we going to see a movie later this week?
Have you ever seen an opera?
Use “watch” for tv shows, movies at home, or observe something
I watched a good movie on Disney+ last night.
She’s watching a TV show on her phone.
We have to watch the dogs outside, so they don’t run away. (= observe)
Grammar
In English, "there" (like "here" and “home") do not use “to”
I am going there next week.
(NOTE) I am going to go there next week.
She came here the other day.
We are heading home.
I am going to Sarah’s home after class.
Let’s go to my house this weekend. (Generally, we do not say “to my home”)
