Words & Phrases

  • Were most of thepatrons to the horse riding school younger or older? (= customers or members of an establishment like a school or a club)

  • Our oldest member is 84, she’s a very spirited lady. (= Full of energy, enthusiasm, and determination)

    • The children had aspirited game of soccer in the park.

  • At the beginning of the conflict, most flights were canceled. Weeks later, some flights have resumed.

  • These are some basic animals verbs and images of what type of animal makes them.

    • Pigs say “oink”

    • When summer starts we can hear the cicadas singing.
