Words & Phrases
My glasses have some scratches on them.
Where do you usually buy your glasses?
How is your wrist doing?
The doctor said the bone is healing, but I should be careful for the next month.
I created a sticker using my image. (We use “sticker” not “stamp”)
Countable & Uncountable Nouns
A cob of corn.
Two cobs of corn.
I ate some scallops. (‘Scallops’ are countable)
When we use “fish,” it can be countable or uncountable
A whole living fish is countable, but it’s uncountable when used as food/meat.
The word “fish” stays the same in singular and plural (one fish / two fish etc)
Similar other animals include “sheep” and “deer"
I bought two bulbs of garlic.
I need three cloves of garlic.
