  • In everyday English, “swag” meaning Christmas decorations is uncommon, people usually say garland, Christmas garland, decorations, or greenery instead.

    • They hung a pine garland with red ribbons across the fireplace for Christmas.

    • A simple evergreen decoration can make the hallway feel festive.
