Humidifier (noun) = a device that adds moisture to the air (Related forms: (verb) humidify, (noun) humidity, (adj) humid)
We use a humidifier in winter to stop the air from getting too dry.
Dry air can cause low humidity indoors.
This setting helps humidify the room overnight.
The lemon had a very thick pith. (The soft, spongy white layer under the peel of citrus fruits.)
At Christmas we often have a bowl of mandarin oranges on the table.
Cultural note: “Christmas oranges” is not a standard term in modern English. Some older speakers in Britain and Canada may recognize it historically, as oranges or mandarins were once traditional Christmas gifts.

This means you do not buy them as a treat or gift for you. You might still buy them for other people, for example for guests or family.

This means you do not buy them alone. It sounds like you only buy them when someone else is with you.
Appropriate Language
I got a scam call this morning pretending to be from my bank.
She realized it was a phishing call when they asked for her password. (= the goal is to steal passwords or personal details)
My parents almost fell for a phone scam about unpaid taxes.
