Face one’s fear (phrase) = To confront or deal directly with something that makes you scared instead of avoiding it
Filial piety (noun) (ˈfɪliəl ˈpaɪəti / FIL-ee-uhl PI-uh-tee) = Respect and care shown by children towards their parents and ancestors, especially in Asian cultures
In many Asian countries, filial piety is considered a very important value.
She showed filial piety by visiting her parents every weekend.
Filial piety means taking care of your parents when they get old.

Appropriate Language
“Play” feels more for younger kids, while “hang out” can be for older kids or teens too.
“Where did you play as a kid after school?” is more about playing games or sports, usually with other kids. It’s a bit more specific to active, fun things.
“Where did you hang out after school?” is more general. It means where you spent time relaxing or with friends—this could be just chatting, sitting around, or doing casual things.
