Storytelling Activity 01

  • She’s good at golfing.

    • She’s a good golfer.

  • She recommended a good hair treatment to me.

    • “Recommend” usually follows this pattern: recommend + thing + to + person

  • I hadn’t seen such beautiful scenery in a long time.

  • I’ve been reading a book.

    • Is it interesting?

    • What kind of books do you read?

    • Is it on Japanese history?

  • I’ve just come back form Shinyurigaoka?

    • Where did you go?

    • A television, a sofa, a piano

  • Entry room

    • A mirror, a set of drawers, an umbrella stand

    • “Drawers” (noun, plural) can also mean “underwear”

  • Dining room

    • A dining table, chairs, a grandfather clock, a flower vase, a ceiling fan

  • Kitchen

    • A refrigerator, an oven, a frypan
