The local community theatre will stage a performance of Hamlet. (Here “stage” as a verb means to organize and present a performance or event; it does not mean “a performance)
The local theatre had a new stage built. (Here “stage” as a noun means a raised floor or platform where actors, entertainers, or speakers perform)

Appropriate Language
Eye Doctors
If you need a routine check-up, new glasses, or have a red eye, an optometrist is the standard choice.
If you have a serious eye disease, require surgery, or have suffered a physical injury to the eye, you need an ophthalmologist.
