Did anyone happen to see the full rainbow yesterday?
There was a beautiful rainbow that stretched across the sky.
Recently, there are pigeons around our building. It’s all that people are talking about.
Every morning, I can hear pigeons cooing near my door. (= soft, murmuring sound of pigeons and doves)
I have to clean up pigeon feathers and droppings. (= the excrement of birds, rodents and insects)
In early spring, some people go foraging for edible plants, mushrooms, and berries. (= Searching in nature for wild food)
If you don’t know what you are doing, you are riskingyourlife when you goforaging.
Animals & Insects
A bull is an uncastrated, fertile male used for breeding. An ox is usually a castrated male.
One of my students said she likes the way roosters strut when they walk.
“Creatures” can be any type of animal, besides humans. We can also use “creature” for imaginary animals and beasts.
