Words & Phrases

  • The exhibit will feature many types of paintings and sculptures from the the Musée d'Orsay.

  • I am looking forward to autumn. It will be nice to go somewhere once the weather is cooler.

  • Scarce (Adjective) = Existing or available in small quantities, or hard to find

    • Fresh water became scarce in the village during the long summer drought.

    • Good jobs are scarce in this small town, so many young people move to the city.

    • When supplies were scarce during the storm, families had to share food.

Life in the country

      • We walked though the tunnel to get to the other side of the street.
