Words & Phrases

  • At Suntory Hall many young musicians are going to be performing.

  • Dormant (Adjective) = a short period inactivity, rest, or sleep

    • The volcano has been dormant for hundreds of years, but scientists still monitor it carefully.

    • A lot of plants and potted trees go dormant during the hottest period of summer.

  • I had to run errands today and I came back home later than I expected. (= doing daily tasks like grocery shopping, dropping off mail, or picking up dry cleaning)

  • Some families want to dismantle their family tombs, and move them to another city or remove the tomb entirely.
