Words & Phrases
Alter (verb) = To change or modify something slightly, usually to make it better, fit properly
The seamstress needed to alter the sleeves of the jacket because they were a bit too long.
She would alter kimonos into dresses.
The exhibition (runs / is on display) until July 6.
The show is running until the end of August.
She brought the (food / ingredients) to make paella and cooked it here. (“Ingredients” sounds more natural here)
There was an incredibly long line at the Peace Gate on the lake.
It was a shame there was such a long line. I couldn’t take a photo.
