I had two customers this morning, my shoulder is sore.
I’m going to a talk about the history of roses. Last year I couldn’t attend, but this year I can go.
“Going to a talk” is a common way to say you’re attending a short lecture or presentation.
What is a “system kitchen”?
It’s a ready made kitchen unit.
It’s joined by a counter top.
It’s a built in kitchen.

We say “at night” not “in the night”
We do say “in the morning”, “in the afternoon” and “in the evening”.

I went there by car. (We usually do no use possessive pronouns (my, his, her) after by with transportation
I drove there.
I went there in my car.
Appropriate Language
Teddy bear (noun); A soft toy in the shape of a bear, often given to children for comfort or as a gift.
Stuffed (animal) (noun); A soft toy shaped like an animal, filled with soft material.
She sleeps with her teddy bear every night.
The child has a collection of stuffed animals.
I bought a stuffed animal shaped like a panda at the zoo.
Losing Objects

a cat, a house, a university (sounds like “you-niversity” = consonant sound)
an apple, an umbrella, an hour (sounds like ‘our” because the ‘h’ is silent)
